Job Description Summary Provides reporting and financial analysis to management to help control operating costs and improve profitability. Overseeing the standard-setting process, evaluating new products, performing a make-buy and sourcing decision analysis, and closing the monthly books from an inventory perspective. Ensuring that internal controls are maintained and kept in compliance with GAAP and GAAS. Overseeing the preparation and analysis of cost reports and costing audits. Supervising and training staff of cost accountants, analysts, and clerks.
Main Tasks Assistance in the preparation of monthly budgets/forecasts and closings.
Analysis of the deviations arising in the monthly results.
Analysis and control of profitability and margins by business line and production center.
Cost reduction and resource optimization projects.
Validation of the consistency of the information coming from the different areas (logistics, sales, stock, inventory).
Reporting of the reports planned in the area, with situation indicators and improvement proposals.
System improvements and internal circuits, and standardization and optimization of processes.
