As a lead NLP data scientist, you will be responsible for:Developing models and prototypes for new and expanded NLP-based product featuresHelping grow the Quantexa NLP team in MalagaGuiding data-driven projects through the entire prototyping phaseImproving models and tracking evaluation metrics for existing ML productsConnecting Quantexa's work to relevant threads in NLP and ML researchResponsibilities:Lead research projects to advance the state-of-the-art in natural language understandingDesign, implement and evaluate machine learning modelsConduct research to improve our NLP productsCollaborate with Product and Engineering teams to take ideas from design through to productionReport and present research findings and developments clearly and efficiently both internally and externally, verbally and in writingSuggest and engage in team collaborations to meet research goalsRequirements:Minimum qualifications: PhD degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience4+ years additional professional experience building and deploying ML technologies in industry settingsRelevant experience in Natural Language Understanding, Machine Learning, Data Mining or Artificial IntelligenceStrong knowledge of the Python data-science ecosystem and general software engineering skills
