SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER
Eurovision Services (ES) is seeking a Network Engineer for our IT Team at our technology hub in Madrid, Spain.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION
The Eurovision Services technology hub in Madrid is responsible for delivering media and broadcast solutions using the most advanced software engineering techniques. As part of the technology team, you will be working with top international engineers specialised in media and see your developments implemented in Tier 1 global sports and news content.
In this role as Senior Network Engineer you will:
In collaboration with other members of the DataCom team, design, build and maintain ES high-availability cloud and on-premise networks for IT and Digital Broadcast services.
Design, build and maintain cloud-based and on-premise security solutions.
Be involved in the delivery of services to our customers, partners and members.
Monitor and guarantee performance and availability of network services.
Handle level 2 support and service requests.
Suggest enhancements of our network and processes based on the needs of our customers.
Be involved in setup of temporary IT and digital broadcast networks to deliver major events worldwide.
Produce documentation in English.
Work during office hours with on-call availability outside office hours on a rotating basis.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate must have the following experience and skills:
5 to 10+ years of experience as a network security engineer or architect.
Excellent knowledge of networking environments,
Excellent knowledge of Cisco switching and routing products (e.g., Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, ASR). Experience on Cisco ACI is a plus.
Excellent knowledge of OSPF and BGP routing.
Excellent knowledge of IPv4 multicast.
Excellent knowledge of DNS, NTP, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP, SIP, SSL/TLS and PKIs.
Excellent knowledge of IPSEC VPN. Knowledge of OpenVPN is a plus.
Good understanding of IPv6 connectivity and firewalling.
Good knowledge of cloud computing especially AWS.
Valid AWS Advanced Networking certification would be a plus.
Good knowledge of cloud computing especially AWS.
Self-management and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Good communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated experience to work effectively with remote teams.
