Data Manager Rare Anemia Disorders European Registry
The University Hospital Vall d'Hebron is highly specialized in rare diseases on a regional, national, and international level, with its recent incorporation as a full member of 20 of the 24 European Reference Networks (ERN). The Rare Anaemia Disorders European Epidemiological Platform (RADeep), a project led by a European Consortium and coordinated by VHIR, aims at addressing the lack of recommendations for rare disease registries implementation and the lack of standards for interoperability in the EU. RADeep's general objective is to map the diagnosis methods, demographics, survival rates, treatments, and main clinical features of Rare Anaemia Disorder patients in order to facilitate research and the development of new treatments and clinical trials.

Thus, increasing knowledge and promoting best practices for these rare hematological conditions. In this context, we are looking for a motivated, self-driven, and committed Data Manager who will take responsibility for the RADeep project in all its aspects related to the collection and exploitation of data in the platform.

JOB DESCRIPTION Education and qualifications:
Required:
- University degree in the area of science (e.g., Biomedical Sciences)
- Fluent (spoken and written) English

Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- Proven experience as a data manager (2/3 years) in a scientific research-related environment
- Ability to understand epidemiological data
- Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies
- An easygoing person with human qualities, able to interact with physicians
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, etc.)
- An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with a dynamic team and independently

Main responsibilities and duties:
- Contributing to the development of research protocols for epidemiological surveillance of Rare Hematological Diseases in Europe
- Developing efficient and secure systems for a data collection strategy and monitoring the quality of data
- Coordination of data collection on rare hematological diseases in Europe (prevalence, demographics)
- Contributing to statistical analysis and scientific reports

Labour conditions:
- Full-time position (40 hours/week, from Monday to Friday) based in Vall d'Hebron Research Institute
- Start: Immediately
- Permanent contract
- Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale.
