As a MICE International Sales Manager you will be responsible for the prospection, attraction and development of the corporate business segment. Besides, you will be responsible for the execution of all sales activities necessary to attain the objectives set for this segment. As a brand ambassador you will have to be a role model and you will sustain our InterContinental Life everywhere you travel to. Your day-to-day Guest Experience Build long lasting relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Attend activities including sales calls, FAM trips, trade shows, etc. Develop relationships within the community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities. Provide excellent customer sales service in order to grow share of the account. People Drive a great working environment for teams to thrive – connect departments to create sense of one team. Interact with outside contacts: guests, vendors, and other contacts as needed. Develop and maintain great working relationships with key clients and outside contacts to increase revenue. Get involved and support different CSR initiatives held by the hotel. Financial Hit all personal & sales team goals and maximise profitability of the segment. Assist the Commercial Director in the creation and implementation of sales plans and strategies that ensure positive results in the MICE segment. Produce monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyse current/potential market and sales trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan. Create and develop special events and sales blitzes to showcase the hotel to potential clients. Attend trade shows and major market events nationally and internationally to promote new business and increase sales and marketing opportunities for the hotel. Control all costs incurred in any sales actions held for your specific segment. Responsible Business Understand the national and international MICE market – competitors' strengths and weaknesses, business trends, supply and demand – and know how to sell against them. Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposals, writing contracts, customer correspondence, sending out RFP responses, handling segment databases …) Execute the brand´s customer service standards throughout the sales process. Ensure a conscious and responsible operation is in place to reduce our carbon footprint. Ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we must pull together to get a task done. What we need from you Bachelor's degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in business administration, sales, hotel management or other related fields. 4 years of experience in hospitality or hotel sales. Availability to travel is required At least 2-year experience, handling MICE business for a 5 luxury property is a must. Strong knowledge of the local and national corporate segment and business trends required. Must be fluent in English and Spanish – any other languages would be great.
