[Mht-023] - Orbital Mechanical Engineer

Reporting to the Technical Director, the professional to be hired will be part of the Satellite Engineering team at HISPASAT and will have the following main responsibilities:Coordinate, plan, and execute orbital mechanics activities for the geostationary satellite system: orbit determination, maneuver calculations, placement, analysis, and evaluation of potential collisions between satellites and other objects.Conduct mission analysis studies for satellite projects: relocations, deorbiting, new programs, constellations.Develop tools for advanced telemetry data analysis to automate and enhance satellite security.Plan and support the execution of necessary procedures for in-orbit maintenance.Respond to and recover from possible anomalies in satellites.Provide support for the development of new projects.Assume additional responsibilities related to satellite orbital operations activities as determined.Requirements:Master's degree in Aeronautics, Physics, Telecommunications, or a similar field.High proficiency in English and Spanish.Interest in the space industry.Experience in mission analysis in GEO and LEO, including constellation design.Knowledge of programming languages (Python, Matlab, or similar).Experience in attitude control systems.Additional knowledge in space propulsion systems and satellite operations is desirable.Knowledge of data analytics and machine learning is desirable.Additional information:Availability for 24/7 on-call service.Number of vacancies: 1.Workplace: Control Center (Arganda del Rey / Madrid).
