Joining us means joining a caring, responsible, and innovative company where more than 70,000 people lead the way to greener and smarter mobility, worldwide.Join us as a Methods Engineer and you will be looking at a career-defining role based in Trapaga, Spain.Temporary role:6 monthsYour Role:The Methods Engineer liaises between Engineering and Manufacturing to optimize manufacturability of products, throughput times and productivity, leads production and testing of the building of the first vehicle of each type, proving processes and TAKT times and support Engineering in capturing Manufacturing needs.Drives Design for Manufacturing and standardization.Ensures that manufacturing layouts and technical documentation are accurate and optimised across all functions and that all technical information is up-to-date, complete and available on time.Ensures that the introduction of technical changes is effectively coordinated and that build of first vehicle is successfully executed.Your Challenges:Be the interconnection between the functions of Engineering, Production, Quality and the Suppliers.Create, document, and maintain user-friendly Manufacturing documentation (Work Instructions, etc.) for Production Staff.Create, document, and maintain user-friendly Testing documentation for Testing Staff.Develop, review and improve new products and working methods compliant to standards.Ensure the delivery of all components in time, quality and costs.Carry out investigations and reports into processes and component failure, including correspondence with Engineering and Quality departments to resolve technical enquiries in a timely manner.Perform as best example in terms of Health, Safety and Environment.Qualifications:Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent technical training.Fluency in English.German / French would be an advantage.Knowledge of electrical equipment from Railways industry would be an advantage.Alstom is the leading company in the mobility sector, solving the most interesting challenges for tomorrow's mobility.
