Our hypersonic aircraft define a new class of fast.Tasks:You will be primarily responsible for developing structural assemblies for subsonic/supersonic and hypersonic flights.
You will be a part of our engineering team and interact with all engineering disciplines to resolve new issues as they arise.It is a unique project with unique opportunities for skill and experience.Tasks and Responsibilities:Independent analysis task performingStructural, structural/thermal analysis and sizing of aerospace structures, airframe or aeroengineDefinition of sizing maneuvers in concert with aerodynamics, control law, missionEstimation of mass distributionPreliminary sizing of assemblies with rational assumptions on external loadsAble to provide internal loads of subcomponents for sizingFEM modeling and analysisStructural optimizationVibration and frequency response analysisFatigue and damage tolerance analysisAnalysis tools developmentPreparation of technical reports and presentationsContinuous exchanges with suppliersAssist in the development of manufacturing, integration, and test processes and proceduresCertification and qualification process supportRequirements:Required Qualifications and Experience:BS., MS., in an Aerospace or a related disciplineRequired experience in Structural/Mechanical Engineering (in Space/Aerospace will be an advantage): BS - 8 years, MS - 6 yearsStrong knowledge of aerospace structural designUnderstanding of lightweight structure architecture and design principlesThe knowledge of material science and structural mechanicsStrong understanding of hand calculation methods, ability to perform sizing with classical calculation methods, understanding of failure modes and interactionsStrong understanding of flight loads (maneuvers and gust), ground loadsProven experience with Flight, Loads and Structural requirements, calculation, reporting, certification (CS23/CS25/STANAG 4971 subparts B, C and D or equivalent)Strong knowledge of loads selection, definition, and combination with load factorsProven ability to undertake structural, thermal, and coupled analysisHigh experience in FEA with Nastran, from build model to analysis, postprocessing, debuggingHigh experience in stress hand calculation methodsExperience in CAD systemsStrong understanding of aerospace project stagesGood communication skills, proactive attitude, and problem-solving skillsThe ability to work to strict timescales as part of an integrated, multidiscipline team, as well as autonomouslyThe ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment are required.Desired Qualifications and Experience:Knowledge of continuum and solid mechanicsKnowledge of applied mathematics and physicsUnderstanding of hypersonic flight physicsExperience in Matlab/SimulinkExperience of Fatigue and Damage Tolerance analysisExperience in flight dynamicsExperience in structural dynamicsExperience in loads and aeroelasticsDMAPExperience of laboratory, ground, and flight testKnowledge of GVT performingExperience of CFD (Star CCM+)Participation in certification processLanguage:Knowledge of the English language is required; Knowledge of the Frenchor German language is an advantage.Notes:The Seniority of the position will be defined in accordance with interview results.Benefits:Learning opportunities: Language coursesLineal organization and flexible working hoursCompany events and free lunch with the team once a weekRelocation process package and the possibility to visit different working locationsCompetitive salaryHealth benefitsDiversity: We value diversity in our company and our teams.
