To deliver the channel, category and/or country product strategy that maximizes the consumer need, brand and commercial objectives for ASICS Wholesale business by developing and implementing assortments. To deliver the agreed financial plans through effective range planning, clear seasonal transition strategies, forecasting and in-season performance management, and to provide Wholesale Sales teams with curated assortments that maximize the sell-in and sell-out opportunity with and for the company's customers.
RESPONSIBILITIESDefine Seasonal Range StrategiesBuild a range plan for each season using detailed analysis (WHL through customer insight and history from Sales).Incorporate market knowledge (including Pricing, Competitors, Market share, Specialist sports seasonality by market & Wholesaler performance) into analysis and assortment plan preparation.Build range construct and input WHL requirements to AEG Category and Global Retail Merchandising team.Input Financial Strategy Meeting (FSM - DTC).Lead Marketplace Management Meeting (MMM - All Channels) for channel, category and/or Country.Partner with Wholesale Sales to ensure assortments align to customer and consumer need.Align with market Marketing manager to make sure the product and financials meet market needs.Assortment PlanningEnsure the Assortment provides the best curated customer and consumer experience by channel and geography that balances the Brand's strengths and delivers the commercial objectives from the Seasonal range plans and account plans.Brief Category teams on customer and consumer requirements, as well as channel and country trading needs to secure relevant assortments.Brief regional design/product marketing to ensure market relevant items not present in the Global line are created regionally.Wholesale: work with the Sales organization to obtain alignment on assortment plans and forecasts.Performance ManagementActively participate in supporting the strategy with key partners: Demand Planner and Sales team.Lead ongoing in-season trading performance reviews and suggest opportunity or corrective action to build market share and sales performance for the channel or category.CommunicationManage effective communication with Planning, Customer service, Allocation, AEG Category Teams, VM, Sales Divisions, Operations, SMU Team.PROFILE REQUIREMENTKey Competencies & BehaviorsDrives results effectively through execution and performance.Strategic.Effective communicator at all levels.Approaches trading performance with a whole-of-business mindset.Leads through influencing within Merchandising & Planning and across functional teams.Goal driven mindset.Highly developed time management and prioritization skills.ProfileA minimum of 5 years relevant working experience gained in a multi-channel, professional scale retail and/or wholesale environment.Can clearly present merchandising strategies (linked to financials) at all levels.Good Excel skills.Strong Creative, ppt presentation and visual skills.Ability to incorporate VM principles within range construction.Strong negotiation skills.Strong leadership skills.Good financial awareness and acumen.Advanced English level.Willing to travel to the Netherlands occasionally.
