.Amex GBT is a place where colleagues find inspiration in travel as a force for good and through their work can make an impact on our industry.We're here to help our colleagues achieve success and offer an inclusive and collaborative culture where your voice is valued.This position will focus on preparing projects and delivering the best service in events that vary between small and medium sizes, format, leading these events at all times, liaising with the client from and all kind of suppliers.The selected candidate must have demonstrable experience of managing technical briefs, budgeting, presenting, negotiation, and events management, as well as outstanding communication skills with clients, suppliers and team colleagues.What You'll Do on a Typical Day: Liaison with the client to handle small & medium meetings with focus on achieving quality and successful events.Research suitable venues for Standalone / Product launches / Internal meetings, offsite dinners and produce comprehensive and factual proposals including budgets.Preparation and management of event budget template and financials.Delegate management.Negotiation and management of 3rd party supplier contracts / terms and conditions including guarantees, attrition, limitations, cancellation penalties etc.Creation of event documentation Joining instructions, useful information etc.Post event reconciliation (including cost savings) and evaluation.Build and maintain close relationships with the client.What We're Looking For: Self-confidence and dedicated, positive attitude.Congress / event meeting planner with validated experience - MINIMUM 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE.Knowledge and experience with GDS (Amadeus).Agile with tools & technology.Organization & attention to details, a must have.Excellent project management skills and able to handle a number of different meetings at any one time.
