Job Title: Media Relations Manager

The Opportunity
This position will have direct responsibility for the successful execution, effective coordination, and efficient management of the institution's positioning, external projection, and media presence.
Key duties include:
Communication Strategy Execution: Implement communication strategies to enhance the institution's visibility and reputation.
Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and media outlets.
Content Creation: Develop compelling content and special actions to engage the target audience.
Impact Monitoring: Track and analyze media impact to ensure alignment with the institution's goals.
Special Initiatives: Generate and execute special actions tailored to the institution's objectives.
This role is pivotal in shaping the institution's public image and ensuring consistent and impactful media engagement.
Your Main Responsabilities
Content curation and copywriting:
Ability to detect communication opportunities, execute projects from conception to realisation, measure impact, and generate synergies with different stakeholders to reinforce Esade's strategic messaging.
Develop new angles and produce engaging stories, journalistic videos, articles, Op-Eds, and press releases.
Focus on writing, editing, and updating web content, blogs and other digital content to improve organic search and drive user engagement.
Work with our creative team to develop high quality visual content such as infographics and data visualizations.
Work closely with different units and departments to suggest content calendars and receive approval on topics and publishing schedules.
Regularly attend events and create content to be used to raise the profile of Esade's initiatives.
Coverage of specialised forums, seminars and conferences organised by Esade.
Media relations:
Address enquiries from media and other parties, coordinating internally to provide timely and valuable responses. Coordinate interviews, meetings and press conferences with major media outlets in the institution's top-priority international markets.
Disseminate and create awareness on Esade's knowledge and research through press releases, Op-Eds, and other media-focused pieces; conduct outreach to national and international media, including by pitching ideas for stories, interviews, articles, etc.
Proactively establish and sustain strong media relations; foster closer relationships with foreign correspondents in Spain; expand Esade's media outreach, and grow its list of national and international media contacts.
Closely monitor news; follow up on developing stories relevant to higher education and business schools to ensure that Esade creates content that responds in a timely and accurate way.
Contribute to Esade's overall strategic plan and programmatic work as a team player with professionalism, integrity, and commitment.

Excellent capacity to establish professional links and mediate using cordial, organised and efficient communication with a diverse range of stakeholders in international contexts.

Qualifications
Minimum of a university degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in journalism, communication, international relations, or another related field. Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, Mailchimp, and WordPress (or similar).
High proficiency in English (C1 level or higher) and Spanish (native or similar). Other languages would be a plus.
Excellent communication skills, along with editing, writing, and content creation abilities.
