JOB PURPOSE
The Marketing Automation Specialist works with our company-wide marketing automation solution to ensure excellence of the email marketing campaign architecture, creation, set-up, execution and monitoring.
The role is within the Digital Marketing & Customer Engagement Team.
While the core team itself is situated in our global Headquarters in Basel, the bespoke position is in Madrid, Spain.
The Marketing Automation Manager is responsible for executing revenue-driven campaigns with the marketing automation platform by fully leveraging its capabilities. The position holder works closely with designers, developers and project managers to execute email marketing campaigns, lead nurturing programs, and marketing automation initiatives.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of marketing automation tools, email marketing best practices, and data-driven decision making.
The position supports the orchestration of global & local campaigns, portfolio prioritization and campaign brand compatibility.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manage and drives all aspects of Marketing Automation and directly supports the Head of Marketing Operations Studio in Madrid.
- Develop and execute email marketing campaigns (including promotional campaigns), newsletters, drip campaigns, and automated email campaigns to support various marketing initiatives.
- Create and manage email marketing templates, workflows, and triggers to automate email campaigns and lead nurturing programs.
- Support the management, development and maintenance of the marketing automation platform, ensuring that it is fully integrated with other marketing tools and systems and stays up to speed.
- Conduct A/B testing and optimization of email campaigns to improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates with a hands-on growth hacking mentality.
- Support the development and maintenance of a lead scoring model and lead qualification process to improve lead quality and conversion rates.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics based on data-driven insights, including engagement rates, conversion rates, and ROI to optimize our marketing campaigns.
- Database management with segmentation, list acquisition/import, data cleansing, web form capture, lead management, etc.
- Be an expert throughout the entire customer data value chain from: data capture, storage, processing, segmentation, activation, and visualization taking the various customer data sources into consideration (CRM, ERP, Identity & Access Management, Social Media, etc.)
- Support the SAP Marketing Cloud platform development based on Agile / Scrum methodology
- Identify performance issues and pinpoint the root cause analysis with the help of analytics tools such as Google Analytics and deliver quantifiable improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop effective email content, messaging, and landing pages to improve campaign performance.
- Stay up-to-date with email marketing trends and best practices to improve the overall effectiveness of email marketing campaigns.
- Effectively communicate by developing easy-to-use reporting or visualization dashboards (demand funnel, marketing planning and budgeting, marketing ROI, operational efficiency, campaign impact, awareness, events, and strategic KPIs).
- Identify and evaluate new opportunities and emerging trends to stay ahead of the competition.
- Act as a consultant to internal customers by developing and sustaining solid relationships with internal stakeholders and
- Implement Straumann Group's digital strategy with our businesses and adjust plans accordingly by conveying a consistent brand image.
- Continuously assess and improve processes along the customer journey and procedures for the entire customer experience.
- Support management to manage respective cost budgets, conduct proper resource planning within a project or work package.
- Support management of vendor and agency relationships where required.
Requirements needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in marketing or business administration or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
- 3+ years professional experience in marketing automation, preferably in the medical device industry or agency environment with B2B customers.
- Additional postgraduate and professional qualifications desirable
- Non-hierarchical team-oriented attitude
- Strong track record within a marketing / or sales organization
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making and proficiency in Google Analytics and other marketing analytics tools.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities and deliver results on time.
- Proactive and accountable with distinct interpersonal skills to cultivate a network of effective working relationships in an international matrix environment
