Job Description The purpose of this role is to account manage hotels portfolio in designated areas, allow demand sales conversion, perform inventory, pricing and availability regular monitoring and analysis as well as engage existing partners to deliver promotional activity exclusive to lastminute.com.
The person will be responsible for driving merchant hotel bookings in a defined geographical area and has a huge potential to contribute to the success of Hotel Partnerships department at LM group.
Cross-department cooperation is required to achieve targets in selected destinations / Hotels.
Contracting activities can be required as well as to make merchandising decisions supporting all the markets.
We are looking for a permanent role to cover resorts areas in the region, initially oriented to Mainland resort destinations and Canary Islands.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for all elements of an ongoing account management activity
Improve existing relationship with Hotel Partners
Secures and negotiates competitive distribution pricing to meet merchant room night targets
Secures and negotiates room availability via fixed allocation / other, to meet room nights targets
Secure and negotiate competitive promotions for specific rate types
Good understanding of Yield & Revenue management
Create and deliver plans to meet market demand and company goals
Sets and decides global display preferencing for defined markets
Co-ordinates hotel merchandising and promotion requests for defined markets
Responsible for rate performance and compliance tracking – uses business intelligence data to track rate competitiveness and compliance for top markets – weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting as necessary
Identify promotional opportunities within designated areas (both destination and supplier-led)
Troubleshoots operational issues (e.g. hotel display, descriptive content, hotel general support)
Timely feedback regarding market trends and product needs
Qualifications EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education in Travel, Tourism, or related areas is a must
Further or tertiary education is considered
SPECIALIST/TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, APTITUDE
Highly organized and analytical
Clear understanding of Channel Managers solution and hotel CRS / PMS and GDS systems desirable
Good understanding of extranet systems as a user
GSuite applications knowledge
MS Office, in particular, advanced Excel skills and Powerpoint
Problem Solving Skills
High level in Spanish
Fluency in other European languages
EXPERIENCE
At least 5 years' experience in Online Travel, Tour Operator, Bed bank or DMC companies, Incoming Travel Agencies, Yield/Revenue management companies or from leisure resort hotels.
Sound understanding of hotel industry, revenue management and yield
Purchasing experience (secured/guaranteed room nights, Fixed allocations)
