We are currently looking for a  Maintenance Manager to join our team What  you can expect in this role: Reporting to the global maintenance director, the maintenance manager is responsible for the team which carries out the complete management of maintenance and site upgrades.
This includes managing a team of technicians, third party suppliers, as well as continuous collaboration with other departments operating on the farms, such as operations, repair laboratory and NOC, OHS.
The incumbent must be able to work under pressure, in a context of unpredictability and be able to carry out the assigned workload.
More specifically, here are some of the key responsibilities: Management section Ensure asset management, work orders while documenting the work carried out.
Act as an ambassador of organizational culture by promoting the values of the organization.
Ensure the proper transmission of communication within the team while providing regular feedback.
Communicate and collaborate with the operations team to determine priorities.
Evaluate the training needs of your team and implement a continuing training plan.
Implement a positive, humane and effective management process.
Facilitate information management among stakeholders, including the management of confidential information according to company requirements.
Monitor employee performance and demonstrate leadership within your team.
Ensure compliance with employee work schedules, including their assignment.
Plan vacations and paid time off.
Plan overtime scheduling.
Participate in employee recruitment.
Plan and control the reception and integration of new employees and follow up with PARH.
Participate in different committees or meetings at the request of management.
Communicate to the NOC sites any visits by external people.
Maintenance section Ensure that servers operate in an optimal environment: EX: checking air inlets, air outlets, air outlet capacity, ventilation, cleanliness, etc.
Analyze mechanical and electrical data.
Coordinate the estimation, submission and execution of subcontracted work.
Plan work with suppliers and external consultants while respecting established deadlines and budget.
Act as a resource person for planning various inspections.
Regularly inform the overall maintenance director of the smooth running of activities.
Implement a preventive maintenance plan.
Schedule annual third party inspections (fire, machinery and others).
Ensure regular visits to each site (visit 2 to 3 times per month to each site).
Validate the integrity of Bitfarms buildings as well as their mechanical systems while proposing optimizations where appropriate.
Handle emergencies and coordinate necessary work with internal and external stakeholders.
Interpret, understand and respect plans and specifications.
Update site reports annually during or in the case of planned or urgent major works.
Ensure proactive identification and communication of potential problems and coordinate their resolution with other departments.
Manage the equipment rental process (lifting platform, forklift, containers).
All other related tasks.
OHS Section Own Bitfarms' health, safety and wellbeing culture by championing new and existing initiatives, with support from the H&S Manager.
Participate in the joint global health and safety committee.
Responsible for building maintenance, security and upkeep of premises.
Communicate reported risks regularly.
Participate in analyzes and investigations of workplace accidents.
Ensures the efficient and safe use of work equipment, installations, supplies and their maintenance.
Here's the profile we're looking for: DEC in the related field in project management, technology, construction or equivalent experience.
University certificate in project management (an asset).
5+ years of relevant experience in an industrial environment.
Experience in planning, organization of work plans and preventive maintenance plans.
Proficiency in asset management and work order software.
Have your ASP construction card.
Interpret, understand and respect plans and specifications.
Bilingualism in French and English.
In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety.
In-depth knowledge of commercial and industrial hardware.
Having knowledge of Software would be an asset.
Valid driving license Mastery of the Microsoft suite Demonstrate good organization of work and management of responsibilities, in a rigorous and autonomous manner.
A few more relevant details: Travel required 2-3 times per month to our datacenters.
