About the Role: An opportunity has arisen for a Sous Chef Position to join our Culinary Department in Jumeirah Mallorca. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
Assist the Outlet Head Chef in the operation and administration, and has co-responsibility in the absence of the Head Chef in planning, organizing, and managing all activities within the Food preparation.Efficient and diplomatic in all situations involving any aspect of Food and Beverage where the reputation of the hotel is represented.Ensure the execution of daily SOP standards.Ensure HACCP requirements are met daily and implement immediate corrective action if required.Assist the CDC in developing menus, buffets, and specials which meet the needs of the customers.Check all fridges and mise en place at each station at the beginning and end of each shift/service, including quality of stocks, to ensure a consistent quality of MEP.About the Benefits: This role has excellent employee benefits making it attractive to high performers. About You: The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Advance Food and Hygiene Training
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role or in large-scale free-standing restaurant operation.
- Experience in luxury brand hotels and restaurants.Skills:
- Good level of English
- Friendly, approachable, and professional
- Demonstrates excellent supervisory and leadership skills
- Works well under pressure
- Demonstrates flexibility in working according to the needs of the business
- Excellent customer care skills
