Fundació Sant Joan de Déu opens a Pre-Award Manager position to join the International Projects Office working specifically in the social innovation area. The mission of Sant Joan de Déu's social action is to promote opportunities for personal and social development so that people and families at risk of social exclusion and/or in situations of vulnerability can carry out their own life projects autonomously and in community, accompanying them in a comprehensive and ethically responsible manner.
The person we are looking for will be responsible for assisting Sant Joan de Déu project leaders working in the social area in securing competitive funds (mainly European or International) for research and innovation related activities that offer new solutions to the realities that they attend to on a daily basis. They will ensure that all project applications are delivered to a high standard and in compliance with funder regulations and internal policies. The final objective of this position is to maximize the value and impact of these projects to Sant Joan de Déu ecosystem in terms of research outputs, outcomes, dissemination and impact.
This position focuses on European Commission calls, ranging from "EU Programme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI)", "Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values programme (CERV)", "Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF)", "Horizon Europe", "Erasmus+", among others. It also includes other national and International public and private sources of funding that may be applicable to the ideas/projects identified.
The person we are looking for must be proactive, responsible and able to work accurately under the pressure of deadlines. They should be able to adapt ideas into valuable projects, be creative, flexible, empathic, and service-oriented. We search for a professional with good communication and teamwork skills.
Given the complex and competitive landscape of funding opportunities at national, European and international level, we need someone who is versatile and able to learn and adapt quickly, putting into practice new knowledge with flexibility and rigor.
Tasks and Responsibilities:To be aware of the activity of the different stakeholders within Sant Joan de Déu ecosystem with interests in the area of social innovation.Getting to know their ideas, their needs and the project portfolio.To promote among key SJD stakeholders participation in competitive calls suitable for the ideas identified.To have an in-depth knowledge of Regional, National, European and International competitive social funding programmes, applicable policies and regulations, and to keep up to date.This includes being familiar with the European funding schemes managed at Regional and National, such as FEDER or Next Generation.To promote among key SJD stakeholders participation in Social Innovation Ecosystems at Regional, National and European level.Identification of networks, actions and initiatives that may represent a strategic opportunity for both the Institution and the project leaders.Attendance at conferences, information sessions, partnering events and meetings of interest with funding agencies.Professional support for the preparation of European/international proposals: Evaluation of the suitability of the project with the topic/call and evaluation criteria.Design, conceptualization (design of the theory of change) and structure of the project and the consortium.Elaboration of the project proposal, including design of the projects' impact narrative.Conceptualization of the projects' M&E procedures and indicators as well as impact evaluation.Preparation of the budget.Providing institutional information and other cross-cutting issues of the proposal.Logistical and administrative support for the submission.Organization of information seminars for project leaders.Participation in the SJD Living Lab activities and integration of its methodologies on a daily basis.Participation in the International Projects Office's transversal activities.Requirements:University degree or PhD (highly valuable) preferably in Social Sciences and Humanities.2-4 years of experience in a similar position working with similar types of funding programmes.Deep knowledge on methodological approaches in social sciences (qualitative and participatory approaches, social theory…)Experience with theory of change conceptualization and impact narratives (planning impact pathways).Knowledge in monitoring and evaluation design for social interventions.Demonstrated experience in Living Labs and open innovation methodologies.
