We are seeking a Director of Software Development Engineering to lead our new Amex GBT Neo Hotel Engineering team. Neo represents an outstanding differentiator for Amex GBT Travel & Expense customers by offering an incredible level of configurability jointly with a best-in-class user experience for our business travelers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO: Drive a multi-year technology roadmap/programCollaborate with product managers to manage prioritization of items in product backlog for ongoing sprints; being responsible for working with global stakeholders to define user stories and requirements for Hotel initiatives, interpreting the requestor's needs and driving the development approachLead team on implementing new ideas or approaches by securing the necessary resources or support from senior managementPartner with Engineering leaders across AmexGBT to solve problemsMeasure and mitigate risks that may arise during the implementation and development phasesCoach and promote creation of high quality, clearly documented, and compliant deliverablesFoster career growth and a strong team culture of inclusivity, product ownership and quality, technical and operational excellence; lead by example. WHO YOU ARE: Bachelor's / Master's in Computer Science or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience10+ years of developing enterprise web applications in .NET5+ years of Engineering Management experienceStrong experience in front-end web technologiesProven collaboration skills along with the ability to influence without authorityExperience in working with leadership across multiple Product and Engineering areasStrong written, verbal communications, presentation skills, leadership, problem solving and analytical skillsExperience handling geographically diverse and/or partner teamsTravel domain knowledge is a plusFrench written and speaking skills are a plus TECH STACK: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, VueTypeScriptELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Amplitude AnalyticsGIT, TeamCity, DockerC#, .NET, ASP.NET CoreOracle, CouchbaseRabbitMQ Location: Barcelona, Spain
