Overview: nscglobal's Head of Global Logistics Management is a critical element in ensuring customers receive their hardware at the right place and time, prepared correctly. With around 50% of nscglobal revenues based on network hardware sales, increasingly complex global network deployment programmes, and global hardware replacement support services, this is a key role directly impacting revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction. The role is focused on ensuring that all elements of logistics, including logistics, inventory management, warehousing and depots, staging and preparation, reverse logistics, and import/export management, are available and delivered to a high quality.
Considering the significant growth nscglobal logistics has experienced, this role is about bringing radical change to deliver the infrastructure and quality that will support this function into the future.
Responsibilities: Strong customer-facing skills from customer tender to business integration into NSC.
Work as part of multiple project teams.
The ability to deliver on time and within budget, ensuring all SLAs are met and exceeded.
Manage various 3rd party carriers across the region, bringing in best of class providers, processes, and systems.
Skilled in all regulatory bodies and compliance laws ensuring goods travel safely and quickly.
Act as the interface with senior stakeholders to develop regional service offerings.
Display the use of data and develop it into better business decisions and actions.
Development, critique, and presentation of proposals and reports, with supporting business cases.
Oversee and manage the entire supply chain process from procurement to delivery.
Develop and implement effective strategic plans to improve supply chain operations.
Be responsible for people development, HR-related issues, and recruitment.
Travel to customer offices and third-party providers when required, especially during customer transitions.
Qualifications: Skilled in all regulatory bodies and compliance laws ensuring goods travel safely and quickly.
A detailed logistical knowledge is required around movements within the EU, especially following Brexit.
A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background.
An understanding of all elements of the Supply Chain is essential.
Strong customer skills.
A background in delivering large scale customer transactions.
