Lead Enterprise Architect – Artificial IntelligenceBarcelona Competitive Salary + BenefitsIntroduction to Role: Join our Global Enterprise Architect (GEA) Team, where we support the global development of AstraZeneca AI products and work closely with teams across Business Technology Group (BTG – Business Unit) IT teams, Research and development, data governance teams, and SET Area (Line of Business) Data Offices (SEDO).
We provide vital designs, patterns, reference architecture and framework and services centred on the ingestion, extraction, processing, transformation, transport, storage, data visualization, data security and representation of knowledge.
We design the fundamental elements of the data world for AstraZeneca across our global customer businesses.
Accountabilities: As an Enterprise Data Architect, you will collaborate with data scientists and other AI professionals to augment digital transformation efforts by identifying and piloting use cases.
You will align technical implementation with existing and future requirements by gathering inputs from multiple collaborators — business users, data scientists, security experts, data engineers and analysts, and those in IT operations — and developing processes and products based on the inputs.
You will play a key role in defining the AI architecture and selecting appropriate technologies from a pool of open-source and commercial offerings.
Essential Skills/Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent number of years of experience in a Computer Science or Data Management related fieldExperience in framing and delivering enterprise data architecture/master and reference data management architectural thinking, and its practical applicationExperience in the use of conceptual and logical data modelling technologiesExperience in defining and working with Enterprise and data regulatory governancesThe role holder will possess a blend of data architecture /data design, analysis, and engineering skillsExperience in known industry IT architectural patterns and IT architecture ways of working/methodologiesUnderstands Data Platforms concepts and cloud-based containerization strategies for hybrid cloud environmentsUnderstanding the appropriate data structure and technology based on business use case and completely familiar with data lifecyclesData visualization, data migration and data modellingRelational database management systemsDesirable Skills/Experience: Post-graduate degree in MIS, AIExtensive experience in a senior AI /data Science and Data Engineering and AI architecture role with practical examples of designing and providing end-to-end and point data architecture designs or blueprints that have been delivered and implemented for substantial real-world use casesExperience of AI and Data Governance frameworks and their application in a commercial organisationExperience in Agile AI definition scrumsExperience in the use of tooling, e.g. metadata cataloguing tools, data modelling tools, EA toolsHands on experience in AI model, building LLM and LVM working closely with different data type and generating clear accuracy modelsExperience of working in the AI Pharmaceutical industryWhen we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.
