We are now looking for a Land Manager to join us in Madrid or Valencia. Your main responsibilities will be:
Manage, negotiate and secure land rights (leases, purchase options, easements, surface rights) for defined onshore wind, solar, storage and/or hydrogen projects, through all development stages, from prospecting to investment decision, working across the portfolio.Manage and secure public land rights property of public administrations, either through direct award processes or by participation in public tenders.In collaboration with the development team, assist in the obtention of the public utility declaration and management of the expropriation of necessary rights in accordance with applicable laws.Manage and complete due diligence process on the ownership of the relevant land and assist in any due diligence activity on land matters in relation to any origination acquisition and/or sale of opportunities.Analyze and assess urban planning suitability of designated plots (PGOU, NNSS, regional urbanistic laws, etc.) for the development, construction and operation of renewable power plants and evacuation infrastructure.Manage and coordinate signature of private and public deeds with notaries and manage and coordinate registration of the public deeds in the relevant property registrars.Run tender processes and manage external consultants/contractors, land agents and legal advisors (in conjunction with the Statkraft legal, compliance and procurement teams).Ensure internal approvals are obtained for all property documents.Support the technology project teams and wider business on all aspects of real estate issues and associated matters as required.Maintain industry knowledge on relevant wider issues by various means, including event attendance, consultation responses and industry representation.Qualifications: University degree in Law.Mandatory knowledge and practice of Spanish law related to land rights.About 5-year experience in a relevant role handling real estate rights, due diligence of ownership, urban suitability, securing, drafting and executing public deeds and registration, together with reading and interpreting maps and plans.Experience in obtaining real estate rights either through public tenders, direct awards and after a public utility declaration.An organized, practical, self-starter with the ability to cope with multiple projects, competing demands and deliver high quality results on time.Strong collaboration, influencing and relationship-building skills.Native Spanish, Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and high level of attention-to-detail.A pro-active approach to problem solving.Confident and personable, keen to work in a dynamic team environment.Additional Information: Statkraft's vision is to renew the way the world is powered.
