Overview
Reporting to the HR Consulting function, this individual contributor role is responsible for the labor relations engagements in Spain and will partner closely with the country HR leadership team and business leadership to ensure a healthy and productive labor relations environment to enable Microsoft's mission of empowering every organization and individual on the planet to achieve more.
Qualifications Required / Minimum Qualifications
Experience in Human Resources with a focus on labor relations OR Bachelor's Degree AND experience with Human Resources with a focus on Labor Relations.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in leading challenging labor relations negotiations.
- Formal qualifications in associated skills (e.g. mediation and/or conflict resolution) relevant to the region.
Responsibilities Serve as the primary contact for employee relations and union negotiations within the aligned country.Partner with CELA, HR stakeholders, and the geo business leadership team to manage and resolve product inquiries/launched requiring representative engagement.Assist/Partner with HR Planners and change leaders to implement organizational changes that require labor relations engagements, especially during fiscal year changes.Ensure appropriate control, compliance, and tracking of open labor relations issues in partnership with CELA and HR stakeholders at the country level.Build and manage constructive, effective relationships with employee representatives and provide insights to business leaders and HR partners on the relationships between the company and employee representatives.Analyze labor trends, prepare negotiation strategies, and lead collective bargaining agreements.Partner with CELA and HR stakeholders to surface trends and themes in labor relations for the assigned geo.Own and interpret the CBA(s) (Collective Bargaining Agreements) in the geo and provide consultation and guidance to partners when required.Inform and consult on timelines for people and policy changes that require labor relations engagements and lead the labor relations engagements at the country level, partnering with business leadership when appropriate.Lead their geo in collaboration with peer disciplines or professions (e.g. Talent Management, Learning and Development), as well as global Human Resource partners, to contribute insights, leverage resources, and provide consultation and support for the leadership of labor relations in the geo.Consult with peers across the globe who support Labor Relations in other geos and proactively identify opportunities to scale approaches to Labor Relations beyond their geo responsibility.Partner with peer disciplines (Centers of Excellence, GSS teams, HR planners, and regional HR leadership etc.) on connecting scalable Human Resources programs and processes with the sentiment from labor relations groups to ensure productive ongoing relationships and partnership.Leverage, align, and integrate communication strategies and messages from the Center of Excellence (CoE) to regional labor relations teams to gain perspectives and buy-in on programs and processes from employee representatives where required (e.g. hybrid dashboards etc).Other
