This position is accountable for managing Pipe Coatings customers in Europe and North Africa and end users representing mainly powder but also liquid coatings. The segment covers pipe mills and/or pipe coaters, valve and fittings manufacturers, and field joint coaters. It is a multi-task role with technical and sales responsibilities. The position reports to Segment Director, EMEAI and can be home-based within Europe.
Sales Responsibilities:Manage as single point of contact Sherwin's relationship with defined customers in EU.Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials.Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.Develop and execute formal account plans including strategies for each sub-segment targeted.Respond to questions and concerns from customers, apply a working understanding of product lines and application methods, and ensure customer satisfaction.Complete necessary paperwork correctly and on a timely basis (sales reports, monthly reports, lab requests, etc).Gather and report market intelligence.Attend industry and trade shows, and adeptly network within the industry.P&L responsibility for assigned accounts.Technical Service and End Users Approval Responsibilities:Attend product trial qualifications and project startups to provide technical support to obtain required performance of the coating system and create efficiencies across processes at customer sites.Proactively analyze and optimize coating processes when being implemented on the customer line to ensure smooth and effective implementation.Be the trusted Technical Consultant for our customers.Position Sherwin Williams strengths of technology, quality, and speed in a way that the customer perceives as valuable and differentiated from the competition by utilizing both intuition and a deep understanding of the customer, market, and products.Support R&D activities in prioritizing product development to ensure market and product needs alignment.Continuously support and extend the number of approvals by attending technical meetings with end users/engineering companies to share, advise technical knowledge, provide needed technical reports in line with end users and/or project specification requirements, and follow up until Sherwin's products are specified.Prioritize end users and time spent on them.Act as a link among related functions within the company to support product developments, as well as production activities within the region to support business growth.Qualifications:Material or Chemical Engineering degree preferred. English + any other languages.
