WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Knowledge Analyst (KA) within BCG's Operations Practice Area, you will work in a growing global team, providing functional expertise and insights, working together with BCG case and proposal teams to deliver customized knowledge assets and expert advisory for diagnostics and live projects.
You will support business development and go-to-market efforts of the Operations Practice Area, particularly across Manufacturing & Supply Chain, contributing with research and analysis to marketing efforts. While contributing to client cases, workshops and proposals, occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected to understand client requirements and design/develop solutions.
Additionally, you will support the Manufacturing & Supply Chain business in developing existing & new intellectual property and knowledge assets.
As a Knowledge Analyst, you will assist with onboarding, training, and guiding junior colleagues and share best practices within the team.
The Operations Practice Area is one of BCG's functional practices and helps our clients create competitive advantage by enhancing their performance and building strategic capabilities.
The Manufacturing & Supply Chain Business Line comprises an expert network of knowledge team members and experienced consultants who help our clients on specific cases related to the functions and disciplines within the topic (e.g., end-to-end supply chain optimization, manufacturing & supply chain strategy, network optimization, digital operations, lean production systems, logistics, quality, and maintenance & production engineering).
As a Knowledge Analyst for the Operations Practice Area & Manufacturing & Supply Chain business, you will: Provide expertise and support on daily Manufacturing & Supply Chain related queries to the consulting teams.Collaborate with consultants and other global BCG Knowledge Teams to build new proprietary tools.Develop our Manufacturing & Supply Chain content by conducting research & analysis, collecting data, reviewing our knowledge products & ensuring they are up-to-date.Actively participate in efforts to innovate our approaches and enhance the overall offer of our Operations / Procurement business line.
The candidate is expected to have knowledge in at least two or more of the following topics: Manufacturing & Supply Chain strategy and Benchmarking, Lean Manufacturing, Maintenance optimization, Quality Management, Industry 4.0 / AI / GenAI application, Supply Chain Planning, Integrated Business Planning, Inventory Optimization, Logistics, Sustainability in Operations.
YOU'RE GOOD AT Solving client problems through analytical approaches and/or formulating relevant research in your area of expertise.Communicating with case teams and clients team members, in a credible and confident way.Working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic often virtual, proficient in agile ways of working.Managing projects with ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating business sense and adaptability.Being flexible and bringing a curious and creative mindset, open to new things and able to propose innovative ideas.Navigating complexity and ambiguity. YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) 1+ years of consulting experience in relevant Manufacturing & Supply Chain required; candidates with consulting experience strongly preferred.In lieu of consulting experience, 2+ years minimum industry experience required in Operation/manufacturing and supply chain.Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred).Fluency in English; Spanish (Madrid).Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities.Strong written and verbal communication skills. The Knowledge Team (KT) is a group of functional and/or industry experts leveraging deep domain knowledge to enable insight for case teams and clients. KT members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda and building and deploying leading edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insight. BCG's Knowledge Team members are staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information. KT members also support the PA's business development and proposals and help to organize and codify the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver superior business value for its clients.
