Samsøe Samsøe is looking for a Knitwear Designer who will be responsible for the entire knitwear line from menswear to womenswear, from the first design and the sourcing and development process all the way to production stage.RESPONSIBILITIESOverseeing all knitwear collections on menswear and womenswearDesigning the 4 annual collections, Basic line and potentially also Express/Exclusive capsulesManaging the entire development process and ensuring that all deadlines for raw materials, samples, fitting, and pricing are metClosing the dialog with pattern design, the production team, and the sales teamWorking towards our sustainability goals and implementing our Materials Strategy on the knitwear collectionSupporting with general design-related tasks within the departmentBeing updated on trends and new tendencies and in general what is going on in the marketTaking part in inspiration and supplier trips, researching new yarns, stitches, details, and silhouettesParticipating in design trend workshops, input for mood boards, prints and coloursSourcing yarns, sketching in Adobe Illustrator, allocating colours, and creating knit stitching instructionsCollaborating closely with buyers for sourcing, pricing and developmentCreating all style setups in our PLM systemYOUR PROFILECreative, with extensive knowledge of knit techniques & design processExperience in knitwear design for both womenswear and menswearOrganised & self-sufficientHigh proficiency in all Adobe applicationsInternational experience is appreciated, but not a requirementWE OFFERA creative position in a fast-growing international company located at Nørrebro, CopenhagenA modern and international atmosphereA job with many possibilities and opportunities for professional developmentThe position is based at the Head Office in Copenhagen.
