What you will be doing
The Role:As the Country Finance Manager, you'll be responsible for managing accounting operations, overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger entries, Banking, and ensuring Corporate tax compliance. You'll also direct the preparation of financial statements for daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. You'll be responsible for internal financial controls and accounting audits, and act as a liaison with the Regional Finance manager or Business Unit finance staff.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee AR & AP with all connected reconciliations within the country. Complete monthly, quarterly, yearly internal and statutory reporting US-GAAP and local GAAP.Process manual JE (accrual, payroll etc.), Fixed Assets, Tax declaration where applicable, and B/S reconciliations.Support and monitor World Courier policies and procedures for any Finance team members within the country.Support and prepare the investment approval process for smaller items.Support and prepare the annual Budget for the country.Act as the country's main contact and support for internal/external Audits related to Finance.Oversee external accounting company, if applicable.Process payroll, if applicable.Build and maintain relationships within the country you support that motivates, guides and encourages the Finance team members.Support the improvement of SAP practices.What your background should look likeEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Certificate level qualification in FinanceRelevant booking skills/experienceFluency in EnglishExperience with ERP systemsExperience in analyzing Variances of Actuals vs Plan, and Actuals vs PY2-4 years of relevant experience in a Management role5-7 years of professional experience in a multinational companyMINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:Strong accuracy and attention to detailSolid time management and organizational skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamAbility to develop and optimize the working processesOpen and self-evident interaction with head of other departmentsWORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
