The energy and passion do, more than anything else.Analytical thinking, ability to clearly understand and clearly express complex thoughts.B2 or similar level of English (no certification needed).
We can teach you how to do professional Software Engineering, but a lot of that teaching and mentoring will come in English.Have a sense of detail; software bugs and othersimilar issues are usually very, very hidden at first sight.Patience is also very important for that matter.What we'll consider an asset:Any tertiary education relevant to software engineering, especially including: maths, computer science, electrical engineering, physics, mechanical engineering, logic, or any combination of those.Real experience in software development in any programming language.Familiarity with some of our technologies: Python, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.Experience with public cloud environments like GCP, AWS, or Azure.At least user knowledge and real experience with Linux or similar OS.Experience with distributed engineering teams.We're trying hard to be "practically agile", typically using some version of Scrum (two weeks sprints, standups, planning, retrospective, refinements) or Kanban.
The team can decide to a large extent about its own way of working.Fully remote or onsite work in one of our locations: Prague, Barcelona, Brno, Split, Bratislava, Košice.Direct cooperation with Product Managers, Fintech specialists, QA, UX/UI, and other engineering teams.Daily releases and delivery.
We decide which cutting-edge technologies are appropriate for the task.We love contributing and using Open Source.
In fact, our whole design system is Open Source.
We visit and speak at conferences and technological events worldwide.
We code at hackathons and other competitions.
And we organize them too.
We support the local technological community.
We use our work time wisely, with a friendly vacation policy and work schedule.
