Junior Market Analyst Location: Ebury Madrid - 4 days in the office and 1 day from home office working policy Role Working as part of a global team of market analysts, the successful candidate will play a key role in providing market commentary and fundamental analysis on the foreign exchange market for Ebury's clients and front office staff. The role will provide the candidate with a unique platform to showcase and hone a variety of skills, from writing market reports, delivering webinars and in-person client presentations, to providing the media with analysis on macroeconomics and currencies. This is an exciting opportunity to front our FX market analysis in Spain, and contribute to our global research efforts as we continue our expansion into new countries and regions, particularly Latin America.
Responsibilities: Produce market reports and research content on a range of major and emerging market currencies for Ebury's client base. Assist in producing currency forecasts through researching macroeconomic data, central bank monetary policy and politics. Provide Ebury's front office teams with regular updates on the latest developments in financial markets via weekly and bi-weekly presentations. Present Ebury's in-house thoughts and views on markets to clients and prospects via webinars and seminars. Provide 'live' insight to our sales and dealing teams on the latest developments in the foreign exchange market. Liaise with our external PR teams to provide market commentary for Spanish media. Conduct analysis on currency corridors and industry sectors to help guide our global campaign generation. Assist in new starter training sessions. Requirements: A minimum of 1-2 years working in the financial services sector. University degree (economics or economics-related degree highly preferable). Native Spanish speaker with a clear, concise and engaging writing style. A full professional proficiency of the English language. An ability to translate material from English to Spanish (and vice versa), and write content in English to at least an upper intermediate level (B2). Keen and enthusiastic about financial markets, macroeconomics and politics, with an appetite to learn more. A proactive mindset and an ability to work independently. Desired skills: Previous experience working as a market analyst in the financial services sector. Strong and engaging presentation skills. Experience of producing written material to a publishable standard. An ability to write in English to either an advanced (C1) or proficient (C2) level. #LI-HYBRID
