The Data Scientist Cyber Security is a member of the Cyber Security Operation Center Organization of SIEMENS. The primary mission is to detect, analyze, investigate, and defend against sophisticated digital attacks. The Data Scientist Cyber Security designs, implements, and operates AI use cases on top of an analytics platform leveraging cloud (AWS) and on-premise technologies. He translates complex functional requirements from Cyber Security Analysts into a high-performing Cyber Defense platform.
What will be your role? Assess and translate Cyber Defense requirements into Data Science use cases.Support deployment and operation of Cyber Defense Data Science use cases on top of the Big Data Analytics platform.Extend the capabilities of a next-generation Big Data Analytics framework on top of Amazon Web Services (AWS).Build automation tools to monitor Cyber Defense AI Use Cases.Integrate advanced forensic tools as well as Data Science tools.Interface with external entities in an operational environment.Apply advanced skills to resolve problems not covered by existing procedures.Display a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems.Demonstrate and apply comprehensive knowledge of the field of specialization to the successful completion of complex assignments. Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: BS/BA in a related discipline, or advanced degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.Typically, 1-2 years of successful work experience in a related field or solid theoretical understanding of Data Science or a related field.Experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, and/or Statistics.Experience with modern Data Science frameworks, e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn.Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP), e.g., BERT, GPT.Proven skills in programming languages, e.g., Python.Proven experience in Cybersecurity.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment.Demonstrates professional maturity and presentation skills. Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: Managing an investigation; understanding the methodologies for investigative triage, case/investigation definition is an advantage.Document and report Data Science/Machine Learning results.
