Harnessing the strength in our diversity and industry-leading talent of over 40,000 global employees across more than 250 facilities.Become a Key Member of the Berry EMEIA Systems TeamTo bolster our efforts within IT lifecycle management and patching of our IT infrastructure components, we are seeking a skilled systems engineer with robust experience in client, server, and patch management on Windows and Linux platforms, as well as server and storage hardware appliances.Reporting directly to the EMEIA systems team manager, you will become an integral member of the systems team, leading lifecycle and patch management of the IT infrastructure components and systems managed by the team. You will join a team of highly skilled engineers working both directly and with third parties to ensure that the IT technologies used in Berry Global are managed and secured according to industry best practices, providing us with stability, flexibility, and alignment with the needs of our expanding portfolio. You will work with conventional and hyperconverged IT infrastructure and technologies such as VMWare, Windows, Linux, Veeam, Citrix, SCCM, MDM, monitoring, security, and cloud-based IT solutions.QualificationsA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.Minimum of 5 years of operational experience with:Active Directory Domain ServicesLinux OSPowerShellOS and Software deploymentPatching of software, operating systems, and Infrastructure componentsWindows Client and Server OSServer and storage technologiesVMWare vSphereStrong experience with IT lifecycle management.Self-motivated and able to take the lead and engage with the business on IT initiatives.Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.Additional language skills, such as French, are highly regarded.ResponsibilitiesLead lifecycle management within the systems team in EMEIA, ensuring our portfolio of systems and IT infrastructure components are patched and upgraded within the supported lifecycle.Collaborate with subject matter experts and third parties on best practices for lifecycle management of our portfolio of systems and technologies.Continually develop and improve upgrade and patching routines through tools and automation.Work with the security team in defining, maintaining, and monitoring compliance with security policies.Participate in cross-functional team projects and daily operations as requested.Travel internationally occasionally to perform onsite activities as part of projects.We offer more than just a jobYou will become a valued member of an international team of talented IT engineers, working with enterprise-grade IT software and hardware solutions and providing services to more than 20,000 employees on 110+ sites within EMEIA.We offer competitive pay that matches your qualifications, flexible working hours, regular employee events, and health insurance options.
