The Opportunity: Europe Express is currently seeking an experienced Product Manager with a track record of successful negotiation and expertise in the travel industry. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading and managing our product portfolio in Ireland and Scotland.
What You Will Be Doing: Ownership over destination knowledge, product procurement, procurement cost, product portfolio breadth and depth, and general development and management of the destination.Analytically driven and can interpret data to initiate and lead product procurement efforts for Europe Express.Strategically contract terms and costs to ensure price competitiveness for hotels, transportation, sightseeing, DMC services, and/or other travel-related suppliers as appropriate.Strong local destination knowledge and understanding of trends and what is appealing to the North American market.Optimize and expand the commercial benefit of travel-related suppliers through channel management platforms.Supervise product performance over time through data and reporting to make informed decisions about procurement and improvements to the product portfolio.Handle and maintain vendor relationships including vendor performance management and service level agreements.Take ownership to develop and effectively train the reservations team and product support team about the destination product portfolio.Conduct quality assurance and health and safety assessments in line with company guidelines.Key teamwork responsibilities with other departments and teams: Collaborate with Sales to align product procurement in destination with industry trends.Collaborate with the Product Support Manager and Training Manager to plan, develop, own, and lead in-depth destination training.Collaborate with the product data entry team to ensure timely and accurate loading of all product details into the reservation system.Collaborate with the marketing department to align on email and social media promotions.What We Are Looking For: 3+ years of management experience in the travel industry; experience with product management, contracting, and pricing required.Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in travel, business administration, or marketing.Proficient (C-1 or higher level) in spoken and written English; Spanish and other languages are a plus.Advanced data analysis skills with a demonstrated ability to work through the development of complex business solutions.Familiarity working with MS Office and a data warehouse.Familiarity with HubSpot is a plus.Working conditions: This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week.Regular travel is required for trade shows, product contracting, planning, and destination familiarization.Working hours are typically 9 am-6 pm or 10 am - 7 pm, with a one-hour lunch break.Our work environment is a hybrid model, with a minimum of one day per week in the office in Barcelona.What we offer: A competitive salary that recognizes your expertise and contributions.Various employee discounts and offers to enhance your travel experiences.Career progression opportunities to support your professional growth and development.Our Commitment to Equity, Diversity & Inclusion: At Europe Express, we value and celebrate diversity in our workforce.
