IQU R&D provides global solutions and services in the use of Internet and Telecommunications for companies and institutions that utilize information and communication technologies in commercial, marketing, management, and business communication areas. IQU's R&D has a focused business plan aimed at delivering a "new generation of tools for system level evaluation of wireless integrated communication systems towards the society digital transformation." The R&D has extensive know-how in new concepts such as network/RAN virtualization, programmable networks, network slicing, cell-free, and Artificial Intelligence. IQU is also active in the fast-growing IoT paradigm with various vertical use cases and offers well-established experimentation tools in 5G and IoT, participating in many EU funded research projects related to 5G, 6G Smart Grid, and IoT in collaboration with major European vendors and operators. IQU's R&D department is looking for one Researcher in the framework of H2020 and Horizon Europe projects, with the possibility to work remote/hybrid from GREECE. The work focuses on the analytical evaluation of proposed solutions as well as proof of concepts in in-house experimentation platforms. The successful applicant should have a PhD degree in Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, or Computer Science. Tasks The selected candidate will: Carry out research activities related to Network Slicing, 5G/6G Network and Service Management, Zero Touch Networks, and Data-Driven Communications using AI/ML and experimental validation. Be in contact and work with cutting-edge technology, validated at our in-house experimental platforms. Work in challenging 5G/6G and IoT R&D projects and represent the company in project meetings and research initiatives. Participate in the preparation of research funding proposals. Participate in scientific conferences in the area. Represent IQU in exhibitions like Mobile World Congress Forum, IoT Solutions World Congress, Smart Cities Expo, etc. Requirements Basic Qualifications: Outstanding oral and writing English skills. Good knowledge of current technology trends in 5G and Beyond Networks (e.G., Network slicing, virtualization, SDN/MEC/NFV). Familiarity with AI/ML algorithms, tools, and basic workflows. Good publication record in scientific peer-reviewed journals. Preferred Qualifications: Good knowledge of Protocols and algorithms for Radio Resource Management. Hands-on experience with orchestration and virtualization tools like OSM, OpenStack, ONAP, etc. Experience in preparing proposals for research funding, e.G., H2020. Experience in participating in international research funding projects
