International Head of Finance - Barcelona Our client is a start-up luxury management property company based in Barcelona, redefining the way luxury properties are rented, purchased, or managed. They are a small team of international professionals, coming from different backgrounds and experiences with only one goal: succeeding in providing the best real estate service in the most authentic, professional, and quality way.
Currently, they are looking to hire a Financial Controller responsible for the finance function: from managing the accounting process to playing an advisory role to the CEO on strategic company decisions. You will also be responsible for Business Operations, ensuring the company strategy is executed in the most efficient and professional way. Reporting to the CEO and part of the company management team, you will have a strong influence on decision-making while sharing the company's path forward. You will initially have two direct reports: an accounting specialist and an Operations Manager.
You will be responsible for Finance & Administration, Legal, and Payroll. Your duties include building the annual budget, monthly P&L and balance sheet reporting, cash management, tax & legal compliance, payroll administration, and any general services related to the company. This is an opportunity to enter the early stages of a fast-growing company, where you will act as a sparring partner to the CEO and management team and collaborate to shape the trajectory from a start-up to a scale-up company.
What we are looking for: A minimum of 3-5 years experience in all aspects of FinanceA solid understanding of Spanish finance standards; European/International standards are a big plusAnalytic mindset & Strategic thinkingHighly structured and process-orientedAbility to lead at all levels: from strategic thinking to rolling up your sleeves and getting into the detailsInternational experience, either locally or preferably with several years experience outside of SpainScale-up experience is a big plusMindset: Solution-oriented (don't take no for an answer), accountable, adaptable, curious, customer-centric, sense of urgencyFluent in English, proficient in Spanish; additional languages are a plus
