As the Internal Communications Director for the Europe Operating Unit,you'll design and deliver a communications strategy in support of these objectives.
What You'll Do for Us :
Work in close partnership with our Leadership Communications team to identify where and how to use leadership voices for impact including through Town Halls and meetings as well as across digital platforms.
Select, implement, and lead experimentation with the use of the best communications channels for the different occasions of people engagement including email / newsletters, Viva Engage (internal social media), Connect (intranet) and other channels as appropriate.
Lead our Employee Advocacy strategy and execution : cultivating a network and community of local internal communications advocates and helping to ensure amplification and impact on key initiatives.
In collaboration with the wider Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability community, guide employees to the information, stories, and resources they need to help our company achieve its corporate purpose to , and see their value in everything we do
In collaboration with the People and Culture function, lead the development and execution of employee engagement communications.
Continually refresh and advance our internal communications approach for impact :
Leaning into fresh formats and experimenting boldly with new techniques
Improving channel strategy and execution
Maintain close alignment with relevant global counterparts to ensure line of sight on key workstreams, and alignment with global internal communications calendar.
Lead the organisation and execution of key Europe wide initiatives including quarterly company Town Halls.
Manage our internal communications measurement tool; lead the design of the bi-annual survey and its communication strategy.
Measure and apply analytics to monitor engagement and employee experience.
Qualifications & Requirements :
8+ years of relevant experience in Communications, Public Affairs, Public Policy, Journalism, HR
Solid business, commercial, marketing, organizational acumen
Strong leadership capabilities to provide strategic support and to build consensus, ensure alignment and buy-in from key internal stakeholders.
Experience working in large geographies
Experience working in agile, cross-functional and cross-geographical, multi-cultural teams
Experience managing agencies and external stakeholders as required
Positive thinking, curiosity, can-do mentality
Mastery of :
Effective, clear and meticulous writing skills with attention to detail
Influencing and coordinating with others
Creation and delivery of compelling stories in the support of leadership, culture and strategy communications
Management of internal communication channels, platforms and tools
Planning & management of complex / large events, projects and initiatives
Broad expertise / knowledge in :
Digital native, on top of latest online channel developments
Video production experience beneficial
Experiences in media or social media
Speechwriting
Travel requirements :
20% of travel required
Based in one of the larger hubs in Europe : London, Madrid, Milan, Berlin, Brussels, Warsaw, Athens, Vienna
