Main responsibilities:This position is a leadership role which will design the API ecosystem for CHC.
Lead an API first integration solution to deliver fit for purpose platforms, interfaces & data integration designs in support of key CHC programs.Establish API design guidelines, standards, and best practices.Design and implement various architectures for our API platforms establishing best practices for system performance, security, and resilience to failure.Analyse overall business needs and ensure that the integration strategy is aligned with the CHC business ambition.Building integration-centric offerings and help CHC transition from traditional integration platforms to modern integration architectures (iPaaS adoption, DevOps integration, deploy anywhere architecture – containers) aligned with the enterprise architecture.Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand integration requirements and develop appropriate API solutions.Implement and enforce API governance policies and procedures.Maintain integration patterns and templates to promote reusability of standard components.Develop an API Portal and catalogue of integration components and promote self-service ownership from functional and technical teams.Maintain a strong cross-functional relationship with the various project and operational teams continually sharing new features, functionality, process improvements, lessons learned, and other best practices.About you:Technical background required5+ years of experience in API design and development using RESTful, SOAP, and GraphQL standards.API RESTful standard or other API standards like SOAP, web services.Excellent knowledge related to integration frameworks, use cases, integration design patterns and data engineering best practices.Good understanding of infrastructure technologies, architecture and compliance.Strong understanding of security protocols like OAuth, JWT, and TLS.Experience with API management platforms such as Microsoft, IBM, Kong, or similar.Experience in regulated sector is a plus.Knowledge of industrial systems especially SAP.Soft skills requiredAbility to demonstrate support and drive for innovation and organizational transformation.Ability to provide innovative solutions to partners and facility to collaborate in global and cross-functional teams.Strong ability to communicate, explain & educate beyond the technologies.Proven successes working with project teams in industry (manufacturing, science, commercial, …).Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
