Position: Technical Support Engineer Location: Salamanca, Spain Contract: Freelance Contract duration: 1 year Role Type: Full-time (5 Days Per Week) Languages: Spanish (C1), English (B2) Note: Candidates with good Spanish Language will only be considered.This is not a sponsored job, Only apply if you are living in Spain.We are seeking a motivated and skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will provide technical assistance to employees and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage network connectivity, and assist with the installation and maintenance of IT equipment. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, have strong problem-solving skills, and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: 2-4 years of experience in Onsite supportKnowledge and experience on Windows 7 OSManage Desktop Devices (hardware, software and connectivity) incidents through to resolution.Manage IMAC and desk side support services.Manage hard and soft break fix services for laptops and desktops.Provide standard and approved hardware and software support and maintenance on Desktop Devices for their entire lifecycle.Support, manage, optimize, and maintain the configuration and installation of the Desktop, including patch updates and hardware replacements.Experience with Service management tools, e.g., ServiceNow.Good expertise on EUC tools, remote support tools, MS Office, and Outlook.Preferable to have a good understanding of Lync, VPN, and mobile device support.Analyze Service Desk calls for Desktop Devices and incident data to identify potential user training requirements.Ensure that each Desktop Device is installed with the appropriate Desktop image.Monitor security profiles and anti-virus software on all Desktop Devices.Provide VIP support for Desk side issues and be the point of contact for all IT-related issues on site.Awareness of ITIL processes related to Incident, Change, Problem, Service Request.Good to have knowledge in AD and smart hands and feet support.Good to have knowledge and experience of supporting MAC devices and tablets.
