Role Overview: You will be the first point of contact between Groupon and some of the UK/IE's best local businesses, with the goal to consult and close new partnerships for the platform.
By answering incoming calls from businesses interested in working with us, you'll be responsible for understanding each business's unique value proposition and how Groupon can help accelerate their business, negotiating unbeatable offers.
Your Responsibilities: Develop merchant partnerships through answering inbound calls or inquiries, then using these leads to engage, consult, and close local deals.Develop familiarity with each merchant's business, including products and/or services, consumer demographics, consumer ratings, and revenue/profit drivers.Utilize knowledge of deal structure and strategy to reach Groupon's and merchants' desired outcomes and maximize profit.Take ownership of the contract negotiation process, dealing with margins, discounts, and other critical elements.Consistently achieve and/or exceed your sales targets.Work with Account Management teams post-close to ensure smooth transition of accounts and align on merchant strategy.Drive market growth for both quality of merchants and revenue.We're excited about you if you have: Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.Entry-level or 1+ years of success in a sales environment.English Native or bilingual level (minimum C2).Experience selling over the phone and cold calling is a plus.You're not afraid to fail, and you're always looking for ways to improve.You're adaptable and can think on your feet; when faced with new challenges, you face them head-on.You hold yourself accountable and balance multiple priorities.You are committed to a high standard of integrity and work ethic.You're an excellent listener and can also be assertive, persistent, and persuasive.You are curious about people and local businesses, and possess the innate ability to inspire passion in others.Have the right to work and live in Spain.Groupon's Purpose: Groupon's purpose is to build strong communities through thriving small businesses.
