WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As our new Digital Channel Senior Tech Lead, you will be a vital member of the Digital Strategy Team. Your primary responsibility will be to guide developers within the private banking sector. You will work closely with architecture, security, and other departments to comprehend client requirements and expectations, manage and enhance the development process, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, secure software solutions in coordination with other IT and Operations teams.
This position demands technical expertise and leadership skills to oversee the development and optimization of digital systems.
We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:
Software Development Oversight Provide technical guidance and expertise to the development team.Hire, coach, and train new team members.Ensure the use of best practices and adherence to coding standards and tools.Review and assess software design and architecture to ensure scalability, resilience, security, and efficiency.Collaborate with the development team in the development, testing, deployment, and support of the software applications to ensure product quality and manage technical risks. Team Leadership and Management Lead a team of software developers, including both employees and consultants, involved in the hiring and training processes.Guide teams from a technology view, interact with architecture, backend leads, and frontend leads.Assign and prioritize tasks, setting clear objectives for the development team leads.Promote a collaborative and positive work environment, fostering teamwork, system documentation, and best practices sharing.Ability to lead various developments in parallel.Analyze, validate, test, and integrate third-party technical solutions. Project Execution Contribute to the successful development of project plans; contribute to the estimation of timelines, and plan the right resource allocation.Coordinate with streams technical leads to ensure smooth project execution.Monitor progress, identify and mitigate risks, resolve blockers, and ensure the quality of the deliverables from a technical perspective. Stakeholders Management Serve as the primary point of contact for developers and tech leads.Collaborate with other teams to understand business needs, goals, and technical requirements.Closely collaborate with the Digital Channel manager with the ability to influence technical decisions. Continuous Improvement Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software development.Identify opportunities to improve development processes and tools.Foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration within the different development teams. EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5-8 years as a Software Engineer with 3+ years of management experience. Proven experience in leading technical teams in the banking or financial services industries.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Strong knowledge of software development, tools, and technologies.Deep understanding of programming languages, software development, relevant technologies, and methodologies, with proven previous experience with the technical stack used by BSI.Front End: Angular, Swift, and Kotlin.Back End: Java, JavaScript, Spring Boot, Microservices, Zuul, and Spring Cloud Gateways.Infrastructure: OpenShift, Azure, API Connect, IIB, and Rabbit MQ.Oracle and PostgreSQL database.Excellent technical leadership and communication skills.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, able to effectively analyze complex technical issues, investigate root causes, and innovate creative solutions.Ability to become the technical reference point around which projects pivot from a technological perspective.English and Spanish (both spoken and written).
