Job Description Summary: The HR Partner - Offshore Wind Spain-Portugal & Global Engineering reports to the Senior HRM, Offshore Wind, and provides HR leadership to the GE Renewable Energy - Offshore Wind (OFW) teams located in Barcelona, Spain and Portugal as the organization grows in support of global commercial proposals and project execution in Europe and North America, and developing markets, particularly in Asia. The OFW Spain and Portugal organization contains a high proportion of the global OFW Engineering/Technology resources, together with Project Management, Global Supply Chain, and other Functional teams. In addition, the job holder is the Global HR Business Partner for the OFW Engineering organization, supporting the global OFW Engineering Leader in strategic, organisational & talent development activities, and ensuring consistency and coordination across the global Engineering organization.
Roles and Responsibilities: The HR Partner - Offshore Wind Spain & Global Engineering demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, the job holder will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
• First point of contact for people leaders and employees, providing leadership, coaching and support for individual needs & HR processes.
• Partner with people leaders to define and implement people solutions and processes to effectively utilise resources and improve organisational capabilities; lead the planning, management and delivery of people related projects to instigate and deliver business change, for OFW Spain-Portugal and Engineering.
• Coach and upskill leaders, helping them to build effective employee engagement plans.
• Management of Works Council relations and membership of the Equality Commission; participate in the execution of the action strategy in matters of Labor Relations through the Works Council.
• Advise on labor law, collective agreement and policy related issues relating to employment, ensuring company compliance.
• Manage and resolve employee relations issues, ensuring cases are dealt with in a timely manner and in line with Company Policy and relevant employment law.
• Strong engagement in recruitment and the onboarding & integration of new hires; key role in developing OFW cultural agenda, and leveraging the GE leadership behaviours of Humility, Transparency & Focus.
• In partnership with the OFW Learning Leader, assess competencies and capabilities for client teams. Identify the gaps, develop action plans and work with people leaders to ensure implementation of training needs to meet established competency requirements; co-ordinate training providers to deliver required training as necessary.
• Build a strong talent pipeline, drive engagement and talent management initiatives.
