The Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor is perched on the spectacular Formentor Peninsula and backed by panoramic vistas of the Mediterranean and the surrounding landscapes, the hotel was originally opened in 1929 within an expansive private estate.
The Role of Housekeeping Coordinator:
The Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor is looking for a Housekeeping Coordinator to join our pre-opening team. The Housekeeping Coordinator is an essential member of the Housekeeping team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. The Housekeeping team works tirelessly behind the scenes making sure that every Guest Room and Public Area is impeccable at all times. The Housekeeping Coordinator is responsible and knowledgeable about the process and duties of Rooms Controlling.
Communicates closely and regularly with Front Office Rooms Controllers in terms of room assignments and readiness according to arrival report.
Has knowledge of the operations/responsibilities of an order taker and ensures all calls are dealt with to meet the highest standards as set by Four Seasons Hotels.
The Housekeeping Coordinator helps dispatch guest requests, allocates rooms, controls the rooms inventory and assists colleagues and guests in any possible way.
Keeps informed of any extraordinary or emergency situations and relates them to Supervisor or Managers including any guest complaints or problems.
Redirects guests' requests to the appropriate team members with the highest standards as set by Four Seasons Hotel.
Records all follow-up actions required in the telephone log book.
Performs inventory accurately and in a timely manner as per Four Seasons Hotel standards.
Records all required documentation accurately and completely.
Good written and spoken English skills are essential.
Computer proficiency with MS Excel and Word, and ability to use property management systems such as Opera and HotSos systems.
Able to work in shifts.
Our Ideal Housekeeping Coordinator will have:
Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. High level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic is essential. The ability to multitask and prioritize is also required for this position. Applicants must be comfortable dealing with a high volume of calls. It is also required to have a minimum of two years of experience in a similar role in an international hotel or resort. Fluency in reading, writing, and spoken English and Spanish is also required.
Must have the legal right to work in Spain and have fluency in English and Spanish.
