(Armengol de la Mota 37 · Metro Guadalmedina)The Head of Studies manages the didactic team, plans class scheduling, and sets the tone for the highly social environment which characterises our centres.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESManage, train, support and supervise the didactic team to ensure the professional growth of teaching staff; Schedule time-tables in response to the demand for classes detected in your centre; Teach classes, depending on staff levels in your centre and substitute/find a substitution to cover classes when a teacher is ill/on sick leave; Quality controlthrough ongoing training, weekly staff meetings with the didactic team, class observations and staff appraisals; Liaison with consultants and create good rapport with the students to receive feedback about classes and teacher performance and solve any problems related to change of level/e-campus/class times/complaints; Coordinate teacher holidays/Saturday rotas/school bank holidays; Coordination and weekly meetings with management on various aspects (Director/Didactic Service Manager/Centre Manager); Promote the Have Fun Open Activities (events) that the school organises and ensure that the didactic staff is prepared for the events.RequirementsESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTSDegree level or aboveCELTA or Trinity Cert TESOL / PGCE TEFL, or equivalent experienceAbility to mentor and guide newly qualified teachersDemonstrable leadership skillsExcellent organisational skillsAbility to work effectively under pressureComfortable working with ITResidence in Spain with EU working papers.The ideal candidate is:passionate about teaching adultssocial, active, energetic and enthusiastic about participating with students in social eventsadaptable, empathetic and organizedRECOMMENDEDPrevious management experience in an English language teaching organisation.Sector: Editorial, Education and Training#J-18808-Ljbffr
