This is a senior position that carries a high degree of responsibility in developing and leading a comprehensive and fulfilling community living experience for our valued boarders.
Areas of Responsibility and Key Tasks Oversee and develop the pastoral and academic care program for the boarders. Manage and lead the boarding staff to ensure the smooth operation and the day-to-day running of the boarding house. Build and maintain effective relationships with boarding students, their parents, school staff, and relevant external agencies. Ensure a safe and comfortable boarding experience. Manage all policies, procedures, and communications relevant to boarding. Develop and implement a strategic plan in order to achieve organizational goals for the Boarding House. Ensure health and safety in the Boarding House facilities by conducting risk identification, risk assessment, and risk control. Provide a safe, nurturing, and well-being environment for boarding students. Monitor boarding students' personal and academic progress, program of activities, and achievements. Provide a high quality of pastoral care, "in loco parentis" (listening, caring, follow-up), in coordination with the School Counselling department and school nurses when appropriate. Skills and Knowledge Requirements Required qualification diploma university; possession of a teaching qualification would be an asset. Excellent English skills with good knowledge of Spanish. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to manage a team. Confidence to exercise initiative and judgment.
