We are looking for an experienced Head Baker to join the pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. Under the guidance of the Executive Pastry Chef, you will:
Manage our overnight Bakery operation and our team of Pastry.Use your outstanding experience to lead the team in producing bakery goods of the highest quality and standard, using authentic methods and techniques, shaping by hand, and always one step ahead of industry trends; you'll be a key part of a winning team that creates truly exceptional dining experiences.Craft a range of breads, rolls, baguettes, bun dough, scones, laminate dough, pastry and cakes with creativity and flair, developing delicious combinations of taste and texture.Continuously develop and innovate the product range, working with our Executive Pastry Chef on ideas and techniques which make our kitchen a creative, ever-changing environment.Proactively share your knowledge and expertise with your team.Ensure our operation runs without a hitch, our service preparation is smooth, and our food hygiene standards are sky-high.Qualifications One to two years' experience working in Pastry preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel/restaurant.An outstanding track record within a high-end quality artisan bakery or luxury hotel environment.Passion for Pastry is a given; you've worked hard to perfect your craft and you have a huge appetite to continue learning from the best in the business.A positive impact on the people you interact with, leaving them with a memorable experience.Ability to make people feel good - your team, guests and colleagues alike.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Team-oriented attitude, ready to help get things done.Open to trying new things and doing things differently.Additional Information What's in it for you...
