THE OPPORTUNITY Our Assisted and Automated Driving Development team in Spain, which develops various software modules and new technologies to enhance the driving experience while working towards the goal of autonomous driving, is currently seeking a:
SENIOR HARDWARE ENGINEER - VISION (M/F/d) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Define and author clear AAD image quality specification. Define and author clear AAD camera optical integration specification. Direct activities for internal stakeholders in design and test gateways. Perform comprehensive optical and image quality characterization of the lens and the camera module. Work with partners and suppliers to tune ISP and other parts of the image pipeline to reach the best image quality. Interface with suppliers and partners to resolve image quality issues. Lead DFMEA activities on optical aspects of AAD cameras. Design robust methods to mitigate the impact of various optical noise factors on performance and quality of AAD camera. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. Proven experience in image quality metric definition, testing, or tuning. Proven record of project ownership and delivery. Experience with testing, reliability, and qualification of automotive standards and processes is a plus. Experience with automotive camera design and tuning is a definite plus. Excellent understanding of image quality metrics and test methods. Good understanding of automotive challenges for integrating cameras is a definite plus. Good understanding of image processing algorithms.
