ESSP, a private company with 7 major European Air Navigation Service Providers as shareholders, manages the operation and supports the adoption of the European Satellite Based Augmentation System to GPS: EGNOS. The adoption of this service is rapidly growing given it allows correcting the GPS signal and offers enhanced features with accurate positioning and integrity within safety-of-life services context such as public transportation.
By joining us, you will lead technical activities focused on Service Provision in the ongoing projects (i.e., Satellite Communications/IRIS) and activities linked to CNS (Communication Navigation Surveillance) Services.
Main Responsibilities/Activities Project Leader responsibilities, including the oversight and compliance of estimated costs, forecast, procurement, invoices, and reporting;
Develop, maintain and follow-up the PMP based on the related tender proposal, in accordance with timelines and deliveries;
Coordinate activities with internal and external contributors, ensuring the successful execution of the PMP;
Manage the risk analysis, follow-up and escalate as needed, implementing all necessary activities to reduce/mitigate identified risks;
Lead project and Steering Committee meetings;
Manage the project team and suppliers/subcontractors contracts;
Synchronize with involved stakeholders, such as SESAR, SDM, Eurcontrol and other SESAR projects launched in the same call;
Contribute to the ESSP involvement in the evolution of Communications Navigation & Surveillance programme;
Contribute to the identification of project opportunities related to the Communications Navigation & Surveillance implementation in line with ESSP business strategy;
Prepare technical proposals for selected tenders;
Manage customer satisfaction;
Contribute technically to required activities and deliveries related to the project, mainly to:
Technical service definition based on applicable regulatory framework and standards;
Definition of service modeling and concept of operations characterization;
Support to validation;
Contribution to business case activities.

Experience in SESAR projects management or calls launched directly by the European Commission related to Communications Navigation & Surveillance;
Good understanding of European regulation (such as Single European Sky (SES) regulatory framework and European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) regulation) as well as applicable standards (ICAO, EUROCAE, RTCA, ARINC);
Background in previous SESAR program calls or relevant SESAR projects related to CNS;
Other preferable skills: Project demo and validations activities.
Job Requirements Language: English (B2) - CEFR and Spanish (desirable);
Engineering degree or equivalent;
Experience in international and multi-stakeholder projects;
Available for regular travels mainly in Europe.
