The Role We are looking for a Global Sustainability Manager who is passionate about a vibrant mix of sustainability, strategy, technology, and solving environmental and social problems within urban logistics. Responsible for a broad range of projects designing and implementing our sustainability strategy as the business expands to new geographies and verticals. We are looking for a great team player ready to join us in London, Barcelona, or Paris. You will be reporting to Catherine McFarlane, our Global Head of Sustainability based in London.
What will I be doing? Developing and iterating Stuart's sustainability vision and strategy, including building internal knowledge of trends and industry best practices. Leading longer-term innovation projects aligned with the strategy e.g. circular logistics value proposition. Working with cross-functional teams to implement global sustainability initiatives aligned with the strategy. Supporting with internal measurements and reporting including the Science Based Targets Initiative and B Corp Certification. Embedding sustainability in the business through communication and training for employees. Collaborating with international cross-department stakeholders including Product & Tech, HR & Finance, Sales & Marketing, and Local operations. What do we need from you? Minimum 4+ years of professional experience ideally in consulting (or project management) and/or fast-growing start-up. The international environment would be a big plus. Previous experience in sustainability projects and/or education and a strong interest in sustainability. You're a creative thinker - problem-solving comes naturally and you view constraints as challenges to be overcome rather than limitations on success. You know how to get meaningful information out of large sets of data and can communicate your findings in a clear and concise way. You have excellent oral and written communication skills. You're detail-oriented and never take shortcuts at the expense of depth of knowledge - but you never lose sight of the big issues. You are comfortable with hypothesis-driven analysis - but you are open-minded and willing to accept that your initial hypothesis was wrong if your findings do not support it. You are used to owning your own work and autonomously and proactively coming up with potential solutions to any constraints or roadblocks.
