The Global Sourcing Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining the organization's competitive advantage through effective procurement sourcing processes, and tactical implementation. The Global Sourcing Manager is responsible for identifying global sources for castings, weldments, and electrical components, and establishing common sources and pricing for the global products. This role involves establishing, structuring, and maintaining supplier relationships. This role balances risk management and pricing – to optimize cost savings and drive innovation in procurement processes. The Global Sourcing Manager plays a critical role in shaping the company's strategic supplier strategy, identifying opportunities for improvement, and assisting in setting goals and objectives, to ensure the organization remains competitive in the global marketplace.Job Requirements :Responsible for developing strategic sourcing processes including, spend analysis, supply market analysis, negotiations, sourcing strategies, and supplier relationship management.Develop and implement a global strategic strategy aligned with Nidec's business goals.Implement and maintain standard processes that support a robust governance framework for procurement activities.Analyzing and calculating procurement costs, and forecasts and developing cost reduction strategies.Driving purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis, as well as market trends.Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, develop standard terms and agreements, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships that drive value and innovation.Drive cost reduction initiatives through effective negotiation, supplier collaboration, and process improvements.Analyze market trends, benchmarking, and financial data to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.Lead efforts to build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address supplier performance, quality, and continuous improvement.Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, economic, and operational factors.Manage and improve total cost for Direct materials.Develop contingency plans to ensure a reliable supply chain.Lead a high-performing global procurement team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
