Civil EngineerDescription:Minimum Responsibilities:Preparing a variety of Civil Engineering calculations, reports and construction specifications.Preparing construction drawings that include, but are not limited to, site layouts, grading and drainage designs.Preparing construction bid documents to aid in project Requests for Proposal (RFPs).Preparing construction procedures that aid in controlling construction processes specific to each project.Reviewing shop drawings, contractor, and other vendor documentation for conformity with specifications.Providing support to Holtec's US-based project team for projects, supporting the resolution of any technical or regulatory issues in the field of competence with the client and interfacing with local subcontractors.Supporting ongoing heavy construction projects, both remotely and on site.Identifying suitable vendors for projects, coordinating and managing communications with the vendors.Initiating/developing new opportunities to expand Holtec's business within the civil engineering field.Working with the project management team to ensure that the designs meet all customer requirements in the design, manufacturing and installation stages.Managing/Coordinating Quality Oversight of local subcontractors.Job Requirements:Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering.Minimum of 5 years' experience in the energy industry, preferably in the nuclear industry.Fluent in English language.Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.Chartered Engineer status required.Familiarity with applicable civil codes and standards (e.g. ACI/ASTM/AASHTO).Familiarity with AutoCAD and similar Computer Drafting/Design Programs.Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis.Holtec International is a U.S.-based diversified energy technology company with its corporate technology center located in Camden, New Jersey.
