Founded in 2001, Resident Advisor (RA) is one of the world's longest-running music media brands and a cornerstone of the dance, electronic and DJ ecosystem.
The site's audience of over 6 million monthly users is drawn in by a combination of news, editorial, club listings and ticketing, RA-branded events at venues and festivals worldwide, original films and a weekly mix series that has run for 18 years.Purpose of the role:Fluency in written and spoken Spanish, French and English is a requirement for this role.The General Manager is a newly created role at RA.
It drives the growth and performance of RA in Spain, France, Italy, and Portugal during an exciting period in the company's growth.
The General Manager is responsible for achieving holistic business objectives and overarching success in their regions by working closely with the teams in those regions.Key responsibilities:Drive performance and output of all team activities through ownership of local KPIs across commercial, growth & contentWorking with the Growth team, implementing the International Strategy locally in Southern Europe with direct oversight of the local GCN teamFull P&L ownership for Southern Europe's team revenues (RA Pro) and expenses (headcount, operating costs and overheads)Initiate and maintain key market relationships: commercial, cultural and creativeOversight of local Commercial/Revenue team, mentoring and training to achieve commercial targetsResponsibility for "the office": people, operations, physical spaces and culture along with the People and Culture team.Pastoral support and oversight to all Southern Europe's team staffDeveloping a detailed understanding of all company products and services whilst also recognising the nuances in their effective application locallyRepresent Southern Europe to the wider company.
Along with the Director of International, advocate for Product, Revenue, People, Support and Content for changes to better adapt the business for success in Southern EuropeUnderstand the local competitive landscape to improve product offerings and recognise opportunitiesDiagnosing problems with the running of the platform locally and, in collaboration with the global teams, formulating effective solutions to expedite growth and improve efficiencyWe're looking for:Embedded within the Southern Europe scene with a wide existing networkA passion for electronic music and an in-depth understanding of the industryProven success in a managerial role (4+ years of management experience)Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skillsOutstanding relationship-building and client-service skillsAn understanding of digital media and advertisingAbility to motivate and lead employees, and to hold them accountableAn understanding of People and HR requirements for our Southern Europe operationsFluency in written and spoken Spanish, French and English is a requirement for this role.Advantageous:A track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targetsExperience with ownership of a P&LAn understanding of digital media and advertisingFluency in written and spoken Italian or Portuguese is a plusWhat we offer you:Generous annual leave policies, including a company-wide closure period at year-end, aimed at promoting work-life balanceFlexibility in working arrangements, offering hybrid or remote work options based on role requirements and location.Matching pension schemes and/or 401kComprehensive staff wellbeing initiatives, featuring regular activities and workplace programmes to support mental and physical health.

The expected salary is €55,000 to €65,000 plus commission.
