Job Description
As a Senior Product Designer at zooplus, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and visual aesthetics of our e-commerce platform, providing products and services for pets at every stage of life.
Leveraging your expertise, you will help create a truly personal, easy, and rewarding experience for pet lovers that establishes zooplus as the trusted destination for all pet needs.
Key ResponsibilitiesUser-Centered Design:
- Lead the end-to-end design process with a strong focus on understanding user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
- Collaborate with the UX research team to conduct usability testing and gather insights to inform design decisions.Interface Design:
- Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for zooplus across web and mobile platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and marketers, to ensure design alignment with business goals.
- Craft high-quality visual designs that align with zooplus' brand identity and design system. Maintain consistency and coherence across all digital touchpoints.Personalization Strategy:
- Analyze consumer buying habits to help define personalization strategies that deliver individual product and service recommendations to our customers.
- Identify key points along the end-to-end user journey where personalization can be used to enhance the user experience - making it even easier to shop at zooplus.
- Evangelize personalization within zooplus and demonstrate the impact of using such tactics to shape user experiences.Collaboration and Communication:
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements and personalization tactics into functional and aesthetically pleasing designs.
- Effectively communicate design rationale and principles to cross-functional teams.Design Systems:
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a design system that fosters consistency and scalability in design elements across the platform.Accessibility and Inclusivity:
- Advocate for and implement inclusive design principles, ensuring the zooplus platform is accessible to all users.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field4-5 years of experience in product design roles. Experience in e-commerce or a similar industry is a plusA strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design projects and a user-centered design approach - demonstrable experience with personalization is a plusProficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English (is a must)Able to confidently collaborate with a range of cross-functional stakeholders, including executive-levelHighly driven, energetic, and passionate individual who is excited by opportunities to innovate, explore creative solutions, and bring big ideas to lifeComfortable working in an agile environment and adapting to the needs of fast-paced projectsKnowledge of HTML, CSS, and a basic understanding of front-end development is a plusAdditional InformationWith more than 1,000 passionate professionals located across 10 European offices, we believe our success comes from working together and leveraging our international strengths.
