Geotab is seeking Engineering Support, the maximum internal scaling point when important technical issues appear with previous experience in the automotive hardware solutions.
What you'll do: As an Engineering Support, you will be in contact with the internal technical team in order to solve critical issues that affect our devices, based on real customer usage of our solutions.
How you'll make an impact: Provide prompt and accurate feedback to resellers.Gather relevant information by evaluating and analyzing the symptoms to resolve technical hardware and software issues involving connectivity, installation, and software inquiries.Effectively manage issue queue.Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem.Ensure all issues are properly logged.Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time.New product development testing as required.Provide on-site support where applicable.Complete ongoing training/research to stay current on new and existing Geotab products, accessories offering.Support Geotab global strategic initiatives. What you'll bring to this role: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Software Engineering or a related field.+2 years experience in an engineering support role.Experience working within a technical or engineering organization/knowledge of the high-technology industry is an asset.Previous experience in automotive hardware electronics is highly valuable.Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues.Understanding of customer service principles and practices.High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines.Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides).Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
